Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Sellar ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to sellar.app and all related services (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

  • Account data: email address, name, and password hash when you sign up.
  • Usage data: features used, pages viewed, queries run, and basic telemetry to improve the Service.
  • Payment data: processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — only a tokenized reference and the last four digits.
  • Content you submit: Amazon listings, ASINs, keywords, and prompts you enter into Sellar's modules.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To send transactional emails (confirmations, password resets, billing receipts) via Resend.
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe.
  • To generate AI outputs by sending prompts to Anthropic and other AI providers.
  • To detect fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.

3. Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the sub-processors required to run the Service:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
  • Anthropic (and other AI providers) — AI text processing for prompts you submit.

Amazon product data shown inside Sellar is sourced through third-party APIs. Sellar is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc.

3B. Amazon SP-API Data

When you connect your Amazon seller account via the Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API), Sellar accesses the following data on your behalf: catalog and listing data, FBA inventory levels, sales and traffic reports, order data, product fees, and financial settlements.

Order data / PII: Buyer names, addresses, and contact information accessed via the Orders API are processed in-memory solely to compute aggregated sales metrics and are never written to any database, logged, or transmitted to third parties.

All SP-API data is scoped exclusively to your authorized account and is never cross-referenced with or shared with other Sellar users.

No automated actions are performed on your Amazon account. Sellar's SP-API access is strictly read-only.

You may revoke Sellar's access at any time via Seller Central → Apps & Services → Manage Your Apps.

In the event of unauthorized access to SP-API data, affected users will be notified within 72 hours and Amazon Seller Support will be contacted immediately.

Sellar is built in full compliance with Amazon's Acceptable Use Policy and Data Protection Policy (DPPA).

4. Data Retention

We retain account and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records held for up to 7 years). Raw order and PII-adjacent data accessed via SP-API is never retained beyond the active server function execution.

5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are in the EU/UK or California, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict processing.
  • Receive a portable copy of your data.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share data for advertising).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@sellar.app.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (via Supabase) and to maintain secure payment sessions (via Stripe). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

7. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our sub-processors operate. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow industry best practices.

9. Children

Sellar is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
